Northshore arts in bloom
The Northshore Arts in Bloom event is an exhibition using various mediums of artistic and cultural expression. Our mission is to create and encourage cultural enrichment for all ages through visual enjoyment, participation and learning. The event is designed to explore the arts through presentations of floral displays, paintings, playwriting, and lectures.

Event Categories
Floral Competition
A floral competition will be held for designers to interpret paintings through floral arrangements. Each competitor will be assigned a different painting from a private collection. The floral designs will be professionally judged, and prizes will be awarded to the top designs. All interested parties are welcome to compete. We encourage you to sign up early because space is limited
Professional Floral Exhibition
Three professional floral artists will showcase their expertise on how flowers can be used for artistic expression on a grand scale.
Playwriting Contest
An international one-act playwriting contest will feature three categories of competitors: Adult, Youth and Teen. The winning playwright in each category will be awarded a staged reading of their play at the event, 2 complimentary Full Bouquet tickets, and hotel accommodations.
HRAC Art Show
The New Orleans Arts Association (NOAA) will present an exhibit based on the theme “Arts in Bloom” at the Hammond Regional Art Center (HRAC). Members will display interpretative art in several different media. The opening reception will coordinate with the opening of the Northshore Arts in Bloom event on Friday evening.
Gardening Lectures
Professionals in the areas of landscaping, horticulture and flowers will speak on variety of subjects. The lectures will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022. These experts certainly will inspire you and provide great tips as you get ready to start your planting!
Art & Flower Market
There will be a special Art and Flower Market on Saturday in conjunction with the weekly Hammond Farmers Market. The Arts and Flower Market will include a variety of fun and unique art along with plants and cut flowers.
Patrons Party
As a Full Bouquet ticket holder, please join us Friday night to celebrate our inaugural event. Be the first to see the amazing floral interpretations and seldom seen private art work. Patron Party participants will have the exclusive opportunity to vote on your favorite floral interpretation for the Viewer’s Choice award. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, and open bar and live music.
